Project Description:
The intention is that through such an exercise, they will not only be more capable and articulate (textually and visually) in making connections between topics learned, but also that they will be able to encounter new ways of representing and discussing (textually and visually) not just the theories presented in class but also any ideas encountered outside of this course.
The People's Park Complex and Garden's By The Bay are two examples of Singapore Songline. Each example has a similar purpose, which is to improve the nation. People's Park Complex addresses the issue of population growth, whereas Graden's By The Bay addresses the issue of transitioning to a tropical city.

Singapore's design culture is to create a comfortable and sociable space. The People’s Park Complex was built to accommodate the nation's growth by increasing space for its people. Where the retail space was designed to accelerate the social bonding process.

Gardens by the Bay were built as an improvement to the new nation by creating a garden city, by capturing people's relationship with nature.

It allows people to socialize by integrating retail spaces. People's Park Complex is a residential building and a shopping complex merged together. Residents can enjoy the retail space downstairs just steps away from their homes.
