Project type: Writing

Designer(s): Chua Jia Ning, Sherica

Year: 2022

Project Description:

The intention is that through such an exercise, they will not only be more capable and articulate (textually and visually) in making connections between topics learned, but also that they will be able to encounter new ways of representing and discussing (textually and visually) not just the theories presented in class but also any ideas encountered outside of this course.

Rhizomatic thinking is more out of the extraordinary, non-hierarchical, base on what would impact the user experience when they are there. In a different time and setting in that particular place, using forces and forms might disrupt or improve the setting. This is why those few that I have named are categorized into rhizomic, as each space and event in those spaces are made unique by themselves.

HDB flats, Laws, and phone designs are some deterritorialized and reterritorialized areas. As deterritorialized and reterritorialized represents always in a state of change, allowing one to continuously process transformation, creating and improving itself. Just like these 3 examples, it will constantly change and upgrade over time, for the better or worst. It is allowing itself to adapt and set its own boundaries for the users.
