Project Description:
In this project, as a development from the Pop-Up! unit, we will attempt to design and propose a schematic retail & work space for your assigned brands. You are to explore ideas that embodies a ‘new retail & workplace experience’, especially so in the context of today's uncertain times; to question the notion of work as well as shop.
Objective:
- Demonstrate the ability to capture and document relevant information about the site
- Demonstrate the ability to identify various scales of objects and spatial arrangement
- Demonstrate the ability to research case studies related to the uses of materials
- Demonstrate the ability to present research verbally and critically through drawings and text

About The Client:

Grafunkt is a retailer that focuses on selling contemporary furniture designs that combine creativity, functionality and quality.
Partnered with many brands from all around the world, putting together a collection of their products to showcase each brand's uniqueness and creativity through their design.

Stated, "What sets us apart? We do what we like, and that's the difference." on their website. This statement shows their boldness and personality to create a strong and narrative of the brand that they do not conform to new temporary trends but only stick to designs that are timeless.
SITE LOCATION:
Brief about People's Park Complex:

People's Park Complex is mainly filled with jewellery shops, followed by F&B then beauty and wellness. Upon entering, we can also see many different mobile/electronics stores.
Shops cater to older audiences as well as foreigners who live nearby/come down during their off days as items there are mostly more affordable and versatile.

People's Park Complex is highly accessible with many different modes of transportation. Surrounded by various crowd pulling shops may give rise to increasing population around the area.
MUSEUM
DESIGN INTENT:

The experience the feeling of stepping into a “museum” of Grafunkt’s. Where one experiences the process of Grafunkt’s narrative, in each space they step up to. Welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere created by natural tones, combined with an eye for balance within the spaces.
