FINAL YEAR PROJECT
INTERIORITY COMPLEX
DIPLOMA IN INTERIOR DESIGN
ATELIER INTRODUCTION:
Void decks, located in all residential neighborhoods across Singapore, are often forgotten and undervalued as part of our urban landscape. Void deck space exists not just for those who own flats above it, but all who occupy and pass through the space. At heart, void decks exist for the community to encourage Social Connection.
In this Atelier, students are encouraged to critically question and reimagine our void decks, through research findings and analytical processes. Students engage with the social contexts of the spaces to understand the void deck as a physical or social entity, to uncover the potential of the void deck and its surrounding spaces.
